real ones know the qr code might greatly annoy me but the only other thing more annoying to me is when i am traveling, find a cool place on social or maps and when i get there the place is closed because the hours on their google page are wrong.
all of this is coming from not one but TWO starbucks that i tried to go to recently on a road trip to recaffinate, check emails, and feeds.
if you hadn't heard starbucks recently closed 150 stores and i apparently tried to go to two of them because google still had them listed as open.
and if a global giant like starbucks is overlooking these types of details then i know other people are as well.
we've officially entered the time of year that like the trees showing off their true colors your business also needs to be.
this is the time of year that all eyes are on commerce.
because we are a few weeks away from the time of the year when people typically swipe their cards with little to no abandon in the name of gift giving.
but they are only going to do that if everything is aligned and your hours are right for them to do so.
which is why i am asking you after you finish reading this to go to your google business page and make sure everything is up to date.
especially your hours.
i'm talking did you already put on there that you will be closed for thanksgiving, christmas eve, christmas, new years, your dogs birthday, etc…
confirm your phone number, your address, and anything else a customer
(and an ai crawler) might rely on to give accurate information.
it takes ten minutes, and it could be the difference between a customer walking through your door and a customer standing outside it, phone in hand, giving you a one-star review before they've even pulled away from the curb.
the bucks can afford to lose a road-tripper with a laptop and a coffee craving. chances are, you can't afford to lose a single holiday shopper.
the leaves are showing their true colors- make sure your business is showing its true hours.
