The Scarcest Thing on Social Right Now Is Trust

well it happened.

in my latest workshop (the years in business is your biggest marketing asset one) the ai flyer question came up.

i knew it was only a matter of time and i wonder what i think i did a pretty good job at keeping my face from speaking.

if you've ever been to one of my workshops you know it's not me standing up there lecturing you about why my philosophies are the best, it's more of a mastermind  where i have an idea what i want to talk about but ultimately the participants questions and concerns leads the discussion.

riveting i know.

anywho- a business owner brought up what i think about ai flyers. and i told my face to behave itself and lucky for me the other participants also had things to add before my face could talk.

but what this persons biggest concern was that when they post one to social they get trolled and commented on.  and when I asked the followup question of if they knew about canva they said that they did.  but that creating the flyer in canva takes double the amount of time and plugging the prompts into chat only takes seconds.

i didn't even have to speak first- other business owners around the table did.

i took a sip of my coffee and let the group discuss.

the consensus myself included is that no one is going to troll anyone who posts a canva flyer template. truly they aren't. and there are HUNDREDS of canva templates.

because what i truly don't understand is if ai is capable of infinite possibilites of things why in the hell do all of the flyers look like someone hungover with 3% battery life is trying to be a marvel comic artist?

when it came time for me to peep in- i said the excuse that it takes you 15 mins instead of 15 seconds to make a flyer doesn't fly in my house. that the scared ground right now on social and really in real life is TRUST.

and is the 14.75 minutes that you save from creating a canva flyer really worth burning down years of trust you've bled, sweat and cried to get?

no.

it's not.

you have a camera on you at all times. just take a phone photo or video and post it.

people will be so excited to not see something ai.

 pinky swear.
